Thurloxton Parish Council meets every 2 months in the Village Hall, usually on a Thursday evening, starting at 7.30pm.

We discuss a variety of local issues: we evaluate local planning applications and respond to any Highways issues.

Members of the public are always welcome to attend. There is up to 15 minutes allocated before the start of each meeting to give members of the public an opportunity to bring up any issues or concerns they might have. 

Thurloxton Parish Council is a member of Hestercombe Local Community Network and comes under the unitary authority of Somerset Council.

Please be aware that we have received a notification of a TTRN (urgent) road closure at Balcombe Road and Clavelshay Road, North Petherton which will commence on12th May 2025- 16th May 2025 (00:00 - 23:50) for a total of 5 days.

This will enable Kier to carry out kerbing and haunching works on behalf of Somerset Highways.

The contractor has indicated that access for Emergency Services through the site is permitted on this occasion.
